VMAN celebrated the launch of VMAN18: A Scandinavian Summer Tuesday night deep in the Hudson Hotel's new subterranean club Good Units. Hair stylist Amy Farid was on hand, preparing the models for the big bash, explains the theme of the show: ".... it's about transformations, black to white, mother to daughter, young to old every [model] is paired with their opposite, and as they walk through the runway they become a new person" As one model dissapears behind a curtain in the middle of the UShaped runway another model, their "twin," emerges to finish it out. On May 18th legendary artist, Cindy Sherman, will be chairing a benefit for the Stephen Petronio Dance Company at Milk Studios. Sarah Silver?s work will be auctioned alongside images by famed artists such as Annie Leibovitz, Herb Ritz and Andy Warhol.
